New service in Plattsburgh

As of April 1, old computer equipment can be disposed of at Total Computer Supplies, 7164C Route 9, Plattsburgh, New York.

The shop, a New York State Department of Environmental Conservation electronics recycler and dismantler facility, will accept everything electronic.

There will be no charge for any computer and stereo equipment, DVD/VHS players, cellphones, batteries, small electric engines and appliances.

A charge of $18 will be made for televisions, plus sales tax.

Receiving hours will be 8 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday (except a break for lunch).
